Simple Ways To Bring Spring Indoors

The temperature has seemingly thawed, the days are getting longer and the daffodils are starting to bloom. Spring has arrived!

With a tenuous road map out of lockdown, things seem to be looking up, so why not capitalise on this feeling and fill up your home with as much spring cheer as possible!

Spring clean

It’s a cliché, but actually clearing out those drawers you’ve been putting on hold or generally de-cluttering your house will make it feel fresher and lighter, allowing our other tips to take centre stage!

Plants

Now is the time for getting those sleeves rolled up and planting spring bulbs. Popular around this time are crocuses and daffodils and coming up with fun and inventive ways to plant them is a great activity. Check out our interview with florist Willow Crossley for some new ways to display your bulbs.

Colour

A colour associated with warmth and joy, no wonder we think of spring and think yellow. So why not bring the joy into your home through a bright yellow jug or up-cyling a piece of furniture. Turning your interior yellow will be a sure fire way to truly signal the arrival of spring! Cornish honey by the wonderful Cornish Milk Mineral Paints is a lovely yellow to get started with.

Scent

Spring has such an evocative scent. You can achieve this by filling your home with your favourite fresh flowers or by using candles in your favourite spring scents to ensure your home smells lovely and fresh (we love the jasmine candle in our February box).

Our upcoming box is all about celebrating spring and the outdoors. We can’t wait to share more so keep an eye on our Instagram or if you can’t wait sign up now to get our March box!
